Passionately Red Begonia

The very first plant purchased for the summer of 2018 is a begonia whose red color is so intense, it sizzles.

It is truly a gorgeous flowering plant.

When I look out into the backyard and see it, it immediately draws a huge smile.

What a glorious way to welcome warmer weather and summer-to-come.

There is a little statue nearby that needs some flowers, too, but I'm not sure what they will be.

Maybe miniature roses would be nice!

This time of year is so precious!

HAVE YOU HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH BEGONIAS? HOW DID THEY GET THEIR NAME?

I love to sit out in the evening, read a book, and admire my flowers. Yours is gorgeous!

I have a pink one in my back yard that blossoms all year. It is so pretty and I can see it from my sliding glass door. Yours is lovely too.

Susan, I always have to stop for red flowers. Your red begonias are stunning. Not too familiar with begonias, but I hope yours last all summer long. They really are pretty. And I think miniature roses would be nice for your statue. : )

I do like begonias ... and yours are lovely. We have a less sunny spot in our garden where they love to plant their feet. Our yard is in upheaval as changes are being made so we haven't put in begonias for a few years. It's nice to see yours, Susan!
