I did one like that, but when I put it in soil, it immediately died. Maybe next time I'll just put it in the pot and see what happens. Years ago, when my husband and I were stationed at schofield barracks in Hawaii I did just as you have done here, then because of the heavenly weather I planted it outside. Amazingly enough it grew to 10 feet tall and produced avocados !<br />I'm sure this sounds like a tall tale!
