Side Lawn Brick Walkway Metamorphosis

A brick pathway is going to make winter walking a lot easier this year.

For several years now, walking from the front steps to the cars, in the wintertime, has been quite a challenge.

Once there's any accumulation of snow, we'd have to use the front brick sidewalk to get all the way around to the cars in the driveway.

This past summer, I saw an ad in the classified section of the newspaper for red bricks---- more than 200 of them for $120!  That's a good deal.

Of course, it took several trips with our vehicles to get them home. We have no truck either!

Unloading and then stacking them was another challenge. Woo hoo. We got our exercise that night.

My hubs and a friend did the measuring, digging, setting, and finally, placing the bricks. The pathway looks great!  It will be a lot easier shoveling it than trudging through the snow or taking the front sidewalk.

So this metamorphosis that started out as a dream or wish, is now a reality. Where there is a will, there is definitely a way.
