Little Things Come in Small Packages (and Wagons)

When it comes to decorating, some  people are drawn to little things that add a touch of humor or whimsy to a decor.

Take this li'l wagon, for instance.  The minute I saw it, it made me smile. It's about five inches long, not including the black handle. It looked so darned cute.

Of course, once purchased, the thought of what to put in it had me stumped.  Then, I came across two-and-a-half-inch teddy bears and knew they were it!  One by one, the little bears in different colors,  joined  the li'l wagon brigade.

There's a bigger teddy, too, (about five inches tall), and he has a baby teddy on his shoulder. Aren't they just adorable?  They make a great addition to the wagon as well as a one-inch Japanese doll baby.

The li'l wagon and company sit on a desk in my home office and never fail to make me smile.

DO YOU HAVE ITEMS OF WHIMSY IN YOUR HOME DECOR OR DO YOU PREFER A MINIMALIST ENVIRONMENT?

I saw your blog post and remembered a man we knew who bought a big red truck. He said he's always wanted a big red wagon, sugar, and he sure got it! Cute post.

Someday your grandkids are going to have a ball in your house playing with all your treasures but until then enjoy them yourself!

I love whimsical items! Anything that makes me happy, gets a place in my home!! And what is it about miniature things?? They're just so darn cute! I think, too, they remind us of our childhood! Cute wagon and bears, Susan!!

My mom, as a child, just had one doll, a boy doll (is that the correct term?) which we still have today at home. For that, my mom is now an avid doll collector. Porcelain dolls, not the expensive kind, of all sizes and colors. They are in one of the living rooms, making the environmente rather Victorian. I should make a blog entry about them!!
Lovely tiny bears!
have a lovely day.

Cute. Whimsy? I have a black cloth doll sitting out my Gran brought from New Orleans when I six years old... on my book shelves, I have the tiny oil can my Dad oiled my bike with all the years I was growning up....odd pieces for decor for sure....

Thanks for visiting my Cowboy post...we must have watched the same shows! I flat out miss Roy Rogers! He was a good man, not just a good singing cowboy. :)

I hear friends are going to visit Maine...aren't they lucky people?
