You know how one coffee commercial used to say that coffee is good to the last drop?
Well, it's the same with floral bouquets. They are good to the last lingering flower.
One recent bouquet got sprayed with light mist daily and had its watered changed regularly. The flowers lasted a long time. One by one, however, as they died, they got thrown out.
Finally, all that was left were the purple dried flowers seen in today's photos, as well as baby's breath. (Love the name of that flower. Guess it was named that because the flowers are so sweet.)
So they went into the smallest crystal vase that could be found around here. That's why every thrift store and yard sale gets scoured for small vases. They come in so darned handy.
The long-lasting bouquet adorns a counter in the downstairs bathroom! It's been good to the last bloom!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLOWER COMBINATION FOR AN ARRANGEMENT?

I received a beautiful pink rose on Valentine's day from a student. It is slowly wilting, but beautifully so, and if it dries out and stays that way without losing it's petals, I will keep it on display. It is gorgeous.
I love all flowers and I'm like you, as they die I take them out and then I'm left with these purple and baby's breath. Still lovely in my eyes! I have a very small vase like yours found at a yard sale and I love it!!
Your right - flowers are flowers until the end.
My favorite are tulips. Love, sandie
I really like the purple in this arrangement. Thank you for the supportive comments about my new header and theme. I hated to lose the jelly beans, too. But they looked atrocious with my new header so they had to go... I like any kind of flower arrangement as long as it is bright and colorful, but I guess I beat that message to death on my Valentine's day post.
Your bouquet s beautiful, Susan. Sweet and simple, I love love all things sweet and simple.
Have a happy day!
Today all the teachers at our school got gorgeous boquets of flowers delivered to our rooms. Mine is very very colorful.orange, red, yellow, pink, fushia...oh just lovely. I will try to keep it alive as long as possible. Along with the flowers we got gift certificates...teacher appreciation week..YAY.
these are beautiful...loved the first shot the best...purple..my favorite.
I have that exact vase and use it for my toothpicks.
I've never thought to spray bunches of flowers, I must try it next time. Your flowers look beautiful in the pretty vase.
Gorgeous! I honestly would rather have a bunch of wildflowers than a dozen roses. Much more my style and more beautiful, in my opinion. The more vibrant the color, the better. Thanks for sharing.
