Life is filled with surprises.
Last weekend I decided to drive out-of-town to a Goodwill store that I've gone to many times.
As I came close to the familiar building, it was closed. Empty. Vacated to the rafters.
"I can't believe it," I said to myself.
Driving toward the main street in that town, guess what I saw?
A gigantic sign that said "Goodwill." Yup! They relocated to new and spacious quarters!
It was great pulling my car into the almost full parking lot.
The new Goodwill was delightful. Got the darling angel mini-shelf shown above.
Also found the Christmas trays shown in this post that I'll use for gingerbread houses.
The amber Avon bottle came home with me, too, as well as a very unique and pretty covered casserole that can go into the oven.
At another thrift shop that same day, I found an extremely pretty dish that will hold a salad in style.
Woo hoo! That was a good thrifting day.
WHAT'S YOUR LATEST THRIFT SALE FIND?

Target stores donate new items to our local Goodwill stores on certain days. Love to scout for goodies at Goodwill. You found some treasures.
Oh Susan, you really hit the jackpot.I have been going to more estate sales lately than thrift stores. I love to go junkin anywhere!
Love ya
Linda
I say that was a good day. Some really nice things, especially the table to oven dish. Love it. x
Hi Susan,
Beautiful things, I like the plate with the snowman, very pretty. Have a lovely weekend!
Fantastic finds, Susan! I don't seem to find such goodies when I go to Goodwill, though we did find side rails for a bed at a really good price there earlier this year.
Have a great week-end!
Great find...I like the amber Avon bottle...it will look good with your amber collection. You are putting me in the mood to visit our salvation army store....still have not located a goodwill store in my area.
I am so glad you found the new store and did not just feel they had disappeared.
Our local GW and our st Vinnie's are both going through growing pains. GW is building their own building and Vinnie's is expanding theirs. It is a bit of a hassle while construction happens, but also some good deals to be had as they need to move merchandise more quickly.
You are a champion thrifter! I love the trays for your gingerbread houses; how perfect a gift. I haven't had time to hit Goodwill, but I have a box to drop off and have put it on my list for next week; hoping to find some great deals too. Have a wonderful weekend, XOXO
I don't go to thrift stores as much as I used to, because I have so much stuff that I just don't need the temptation to buy anything else! I was thrilled, though, a few years ago, when I found a whole set of 8 glasses for ten cents apiece! A friend was needing them, so I got all of them and gave them to her. You would have thought she had won the lottery! LOVE those stores, but too much temptation these days! I'm so happy for your great finds, Susan, and I'm sure you'll use those items well! :-)
Your Goodwill finds are all so wonderful. I have not been to Goodwill in forever.
san,
Oh my goodness - you found some wonderful things shopping - love the Goodwill stores.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.
Blessings,
Erin
Amazing!
I'm always sad if I think my favourite shops have closed but happy to find they have relocated, we had a whole complex closed for a couple of months and reopened, some new shops and some of the old ones but not all the ones I like, I like you covered casserole dish and christmas trays.
Merle......
You found some beautiful things at the GW!! I've been thrifting less these days but did find a couple of cute items I'll blog about soon. Hugs, Linda
