Looking at the World Through Rose-Colored Glasses

Pretty soon it will be time to take down all the Valentine's Day decorations but not yet.

I like to stretttttttttttch out holidays as long as possible.

That goes for birthdays, Christmas, Easter and yes, Valentine's Day.

Why celebrate just one day when you can do it for the entire month?

Right before Valentine's Day, I took down the purple glass from the kitchen window sills and put up some pink goblets, two pink plates and two little glasses, and four  very pretty cranberry glass martini glasses.

We never drink martinis but when I saw these beautiful glasses, I knew they'd be added to my cranberry glass collection.

I love pink glass including how it looks in the kitchen windows.

It's rather soft and delicate.

It promotes peace and happiness in my heart.

How about you? Does it have that effect on you, too?

People tsk tsk about looking at the world through rose colored glasses as it being idealistic and juvenile.

I say, "Bring on the pink! I love looking at the world through rose-colored glasses!"

NOTE:  Today we are joining Home and Garden Thursday on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.

Stop by and see some of the wonderful entries. You'll love some of them and it will be a half hour of your day well spent!

DO YOU LIKE THE COLOR PINK?  IF YES, WHY?

I once read an article on how colors affect us. Surprisingly, it said that prison walls should be in pink because it promote calmness! Your rose colored glass is just stunning and I love the light shining through them--it makes me believe that everything is going to be okay, XOXO

I have never been particularly fond of pink, but there are shades of it that I find peaceful and cheery. Your pieces are stunning, and you have them displayed in a lovely manner!

Don't put the glass away, just put out some rosy pink eggs among them and keep them out until Easter!

Sleet and ice complete heavy thunder here...horrible weather...where is a pretty snow????

I love your glass and you have the perfect window's and setting for them. The pink would easily transgress into the Easter decor. sooooo pretty.
