A Blessed Father's Day to All the Dads

On this Father's Day,  I wish all the dads out there a fun and heartfelt day.

May each daddy know how important you are in the lives of children.

My own daddy has been gone from this earth since 1989 but I miss him still today as much as that day when he went to the other side forever.

Fathers (and mothers) are soooooo important.

Your love, your support, your encouragement, your belief in children, make all the difference in the world.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, step-dads, granddads, uncles and other men who have served as father figures!

Sending love to all.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOUR FATHER TAUGHT YOU?

He taught me to get an education as I would need it in life and it sure did come in handy in my life!

My Dad treated me as an equal to my brothers and encouraged me to believe that I could do anything! I think that's the greatest gift both my parents gave me. Happy Father's Day to all the supportive, loving dads, XOXO

My father taught me the value of hard work. A strong work ethic has served me well my entire life and is something I believe I have passed on to my two children. Thanks for that, Dad.

My dad taught us the importance of worshiping together as a family, not only in church (every time the doors were open!) and as daily family altar, where we learned to memorize the books of the Bible in order, and we also read a portion of Scripture out loud as soon as we were able to read. That is a blessing that has remained with me throughout my life, and my hubby and I passed it along to our children as well. Not sure whether the daughter does this with her hubby, but our son has family altar with his three boys, and I'm sure they have learned a lot from that practice! We can NEVER get too close to our Heavenly Father! :-)

My dad taught me how to drive with life lessons. I was going to write about it, but thought NEXT week was Father's Day. How did it get to be so late in June?????

Beautiful post, Susan. Your dad and my dad left this world around the same time.

Love to you,
