A Field of Sunflowers

Driving to my niece's house for a little one's birthday bash, I drove past what is usually a vacant field.

There, before my very eyes, were thousands upon thousands of sunflowers!

Apparently, the owner of the field put it to good use and planted untold numbers of the lovely deep yellow colored flowers.

Whenever a slight breeze came through, hundreds of them would nod gracefully.

The sight was enough to bring tears to my eyes.

God, in His infinite wisdom and glory, thinks nothing of gifting His children with such incredulous beauty.

Imagine!

One sunflower brings a smile to one's lips.

Thousands  seen together, nodding under the golden August sun, defy description!

ON THIS GLORIOUS SUNDAY, CAN YOU SHARE WHAT THE LAST INCREDIBLE THING WAS IN WHICH YOU SAW THE HAND OF GOD?

I am going to blog about a miracle that happened here this week - Monday. lol

We went to Italy once and they had the same huge sunflower fields - that was so nice to see the pictures - it reminded me of some great times in the past.

Hope you are getting ready for some great company.

I LOVE sunflowers!! It would be moving to see this field of sunflowers!! Too bad you aren't able to set up a camera on a tripod in one spot. Then click it once an hour. Make a slide show out of it and watch the flowers follow the sun!! I've ALWAYS wanted to do that!! What a blessed day for you!!

I love sunflowers. I am from Kansas and that is the state flower. A sunflower is like a sign of home! I have had them in my yard and they are amazing at following the sun...more they fast east, afternoon they face west.

Lovely, Susan! I don't have the proper growing conditions for these beauties, but I enjoy seeing them in other people's gardens.

My daughter's favorite flower is the sunflower. I hope someday she gets to see this field in person. It is just gorgeous. I listened to a fabulous organ concert on an organ with 18 thousand pipes and that was indeed a gift from God to see this talented man play.
