When I see expensive porch and patio furniture advertised in newspaper and magazine ads, it makes me smile.
It's amazing what a few nails and a couple coats of white paint can do.
The photos in today's post show some of the pieces that are out there.
The two children's rockers, shown below, were put out to the side of the road in front of someone's house.
The owner no longer wanted them and was delighted when I stashed them into the trunk of my car.
All the pillows seen I bought used, too. Just popped them into the washing machine and dryer so they'd be clean and smell nice!
Making do and using whatever can be found is tops in this house!
NOTE: Wait til I show you a photo of the chandy that's now on the porch!
But that's a whole story for another day so stay tuned!

Nice collection. I don't have a side porch - it would be nice.
Beautiful area...it screams for a tea pot and friends! Have a good weekend, Susan.
Love the photos of your enclosed porch. Have a wonderful time entertaining in this area of your lovely house!
First of all - I love your white wicker room - very pretty and nothing over $10 and some free - you did a great job.
Yes I love to go out and look and find bargains!

Hello from Spain: stunning pictures of your porch. I really like your furniture. Your house is beautiful and very large. Keep in touch
How wonderful to have such a lovely enclosed porch! EVERYthing on it "fits". It's so restful and inviting. Very nice, Susan!
"One man's junk is another man's treasure." You do a wonderful job making things fit, Susan.
Oh, yes! I love going to estate sales - even auctions - though I must watch that these days.
You have a welcoming retreat on your side porch. I'd love to spend some time there.:-)
Pre loved furniture my house is full of it.

Hi Susan, You definitely have the eye! Visiting you is always inspirational. Thanks for your visit to me and sweet comment. Hugs~
I would love to be able to find treasures like you do....your porch looks so inviting.
Susan,
Someone else said exactly what I was thinking, "One woman's junk is another woman's treasure!" Really like the children's rocking chairs!!
Such a nice, comfy sitting area!!
You got some great finds!
I love the enclosed porch. Wish I had one.
Hugs, Rose
I just brought home a chair I want to paint white and get new pillows for. If it looks half as good as your chairs, I'll be so happy. Thanks for joining TTF.

Side porches are harder, but if you have the room, look over the bed swing options. Granted they take a good bit of space, but they are SO popular with kids and adults alike!
