Psalm Come to Life!

"You have made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting. "
                                                                                 (Psalm 104:19)

Happy Sunday!

The seasons are about to change around here.

There's a definite nip in the early morning and late night air.

Some of us don't want fall to come yet but it doesn't care. It's coming anyway.

Is it true for you that sunsets make your heart beat faster with their intense, soul-stirring beauty?

It's so therapeutic to see the sun slowly move toward the horizon and then light up the whole sky.

It slips down below the mountains, hills and desert floor to let the moon come out to play.

Each evening, no matter what has transpired during the day, the sun once again sets with precise timing.

It's as comforting to see the sun set as it is to view the stars in the heavens and the silver sliver of a moon.

When I see the glory in the skies, it makes me want to cry.

So I'm sharing some of this summer's sunsets with you, even though it's day time!

Tonight, or one night soon, may the sunset you see touch your soul!

DO YOU PREFER SUNRISES OR SUNSETS? WHAT'S THE LAST ONE YOU SAW?

I think I prefer sunsets. Not exactly why. I think it signals the end of a day. I can relax, knowing the work is over and you can relax. No matter what kind of sunset - it always makes me think of the Lord and makes my heart flutter. Have a good Labor day weekend. sandie

Hello from Spain: I love the sunsets. I contemplate it every day from the porch of my house. In my country, summer is almost over and soon the fall. Keep in touch

I am not up early enough to see the sun rise so I prefer sunsets. Saw a gorgeous one just last night outside my front yard... Wish fall would come to where I live..it's still quite hot!

Saw a sunset Friday night. Love 'em both.
All creation is sooo beautiful, it all praises God in His glory. Always invokes worship in me.
He had to make the earth be able to physically sustain us, but to make it beautiful and give us appreciation for the beauty is a gift I am forever grateful for!
Beautiful post!

I think I really enjoy both equally. Sunrises signal another opportunity to get it right, and sunsets let us know that it's time to rest our bones from whatever we've been doing during the day. Last night, I saw a sunset as I drove to a funeral home to pay my respects to a dear lady whose earthly battles are now over, so that sunset was most appropriate. Have a lovely day, Susan!

Oh Susan, that is beautiful! I see more sunsets then I do sunrises so I would have to say I like sunsets better. ;)
Have you heard that song by Hillsong-Nicole Mullen called My Redeemer Lives? Your post reminded me of it. So beautiful!
Hugs,
Gina

The sun was quite beautiful, this evening, as thunderheads were forming and clearing and there was a hazy sky! =)

I LOVE sunset... sunrise is also a miracle, but sunset I like more. I even made painting of it in the hills :)
You put such beautiful dreamy pics... I'd like it to cool down here more, as this humid and hot weather is way too much now.
Have a happy Monday!
