Bye Bye Halloween

Bye bye, Halloween. See ya next year! (Hopefully.)

Halloween, 2013, is now history.

Can you stand one more post with a Halloween theme?

Truly, the whole day and evening yesterday were filled with fun.

My baby granddaugher, age one  year, was definitely the cutest owl in the whole world!

What is it about grandchildren that makes them steal your heart, squeeze your soul and make  you shout  "Halleluia" just to spend time with them?

Isn't she the pizazz?

She was so doggone adorable in her owl costume, including very cumbersome feet.

She knew she was the belle of the ball (or the Owl Queen of the forest.)

By evening's end, of course, she was ready to ditch that owl costume, big eyes and all!

Trick or treating at our own house was a blast.

There were lots of candles inside a darkened house and scary music coming from the dining room window.

A lady with blue lips and a feathery mask answered the door.

One little girl accepted her candies, ran down the brick sidewalk and yelled, "I saw a peacock lady!!!!!"

I thought that description fit perfectly.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CANDY BAR?

Such a sweet girl and I am glad she lives nearby for you. Looks like you had fun all the way. Quiet here...no children...it was okay though.

Hi Susan! My little 8 mo old granddaughter was an owl too! Must be "the year of the owl"! And you look just fabulous as a Peacock Lady. Love the candles and the scary music. I bet your house was popular :)

It rained like crazy here, but we still got quite a few water-logged trick or treaters. When candy is involved, it's hard to keep the little ones down!
Have a good weekend!

Your owl was so cute - they are the in thing now! And I loved that peacock too! Your granddaughter didn't recognize you - that is so funny. I think my favorite candy bar is a Snickers bar with a peanut cup number two. What is your favorite?

Peacock Lady! That is hilarious! At least she didn't hightail it screaming at the sight. :) Your little owl is precious! Best wishes, Tammy
