A catalog from the Vermont Country Store, which is located in Weston, Vermont, has so many intriguing items that one can easily spend several hours reading through it.
So you can imagine how much fun it is to actually go to the store behind the catalog.
It's a drive that 's about two hours from where we live but the ride is pleasant, particularly in the fall.
One of the items that always catches my eye when we go are the colorful socks.
Their hues and patterns are, well, as happy as one can even begin to imagine.
They even have socks for the littlest of feet!
Someday, I just might break down and buy a pair or two!

I shop at the Vermont store online and love their bathing suits..they last and last and are chlorine resistant. Thanks for posting pics of this place. Would love to go there someday.

I would love to go to the Vermont Country Store. We have something in the North GA MTS. about an hour away from here - called Mercer's and I love it - wish i could go every weekend. And the DeKalb Farmer's Market - love it too.
I must be a conservative when it comes to sox - they were all too bright for me and if any were wool, I couldn't even touch them being allergic.
Colourful socks are the best.

Cute socks! I am still wearing my flop-flops but it won't be long. Getting cooler weather soon and I like my piggies warm!
Susan, great pix! I got to visit one of the Vermont Country Stores when I met my Tasha Tudor friends in Vermont. It was so fun...we spent over an hour in that store. These sox are just great! I do get their catalog, but it's just not the same....

Love the colors! Wouldn't it be fun to wear a pair with a sedate outfit? I love the surprise factor.
If I will pick a gift for my mother, I would choose to buy her socks for women because she loves wearing socks all the time.
