Gladiolus are among the most regal and elegant flowers.
Yes, the plural of "gladiola" is "gladiolus." Right? Wrong.
Some references call the singular flower "gladiolus" and state that the plural is "gladioli."
In any event, glads have gorgeous blooms.
They are really beautiful.
Our daughter and son-in-law, on a visit, brought us two tall purple and one pink glad from their own garden.
I put the flowers in a cut glass decanter and placed it in the middle of the kitchen table.
Just feast your eyes on such beauty.
Okay, admittedly, I went a little nutso with the camera but they were so gorgeous, I just couldn't stop clicking that lens.
DO YOU GROW GLADIOLUS?

Susan, beautiful...just beautiful. Unfortunately, in my garden not have Gladiolus. Have nice weekend.
No gladiolus here but they sure are big and beautiful and I like the lighting on them. :) Best wishes, Tammy
Hello from Spain: stunning gladioli. Beautiful flowers. I did not grow flowers but I really like to decorate the house. Nice pictures. Keep in touch
These are so pretty, Susan. Your photos are lovely. I have grown these in the past but we don't have any here.....yet!!!
Gorgeous!
Hi :)
I came accidentally on this blog. I do not read English well so a little come down to me from reading, but the photographs are beautiful. Cute is a picture of a cat lying on a bench on the main page :)))
My dad had gladiolus planted when I was growing up. So, so lovely! I must plant some here next season!
Such a beautiful flower and I haven't seen any in such a long time! Love that color!
Linda
I think they need a cooler climate. Lovely colors in your pictures of them!
I love glads. They remind me of times in my grandparent's florist when I was a child. Beautiful photos, my friend. xo Laura
Such amazing photos of these beautiful flowers !
I don't grow gladiolas but do treat myself to a nice bouquet of them at this time of year. The farmer's markets all have them for sale in so many colors. They are such regal flower. They seem to epitomize the lushness and bounty of the growing season here in New =England.
Your photos captured yours beautifully.
They are gorgeous! I have grown gladiola but not for a long time. It is my birthday month flower😊
Nice to meet you! I cordially invite :)
The last photo is a beautiful flowers-vase. I really like the glass objects.
My grandmother was Glady's and those were her favorite flowers!
Susan,
These flower pictures are great. That first one is truly beautiful. I'm not too familiar with this flower, but it's very pretty.
You mentioned that you wanted to see a pic of me, and just wanted to tell you that I have a couple on my anniversary post today if you want to stop by. I was very young, and it was right before my wedding. I look the same, just a bit older haha.
love,
~Sheri
