Serene and lovely are lilies on the water.
Quiet beauty for the enjoyment of all.
So much splendor and incredible beauty
From plants so simple and oh, quite small.
When life seems chaotic and hard to trudge
When problems overwhelm and you feel sad.
Think of gentle, calm and peaceful waters
And the still, silent beauty of a simple lily pad.

There were lily pads aplenty at the Denver (Colorado) Botanic Gardens when we visited there last month.
Rather than ramble on, I thought you might enjoy looking at some of the photos snapped of lily pads there.
Hope you enjoy them!
Hope your Sunday is totally delightful from sun up to sun down!
DO YOU LIKE LILY PADS?

You are a poet too? Nice photos Susan - they always amaze me at how fast they grow.
Do you know the song about the little white duck swimming in the water? It contains a couple verses about lily pads...love it. Nice pictures! Nice poem!
I only know the lilies of the first pics. Surprised me the other cultivar. They are beautiful! Botanic Gardens is wonderful. I leave Sunday greetings.

Really restful, beautiful photos & fitting poetry, Susan!
They're a mess to row a boat in our motor through though :) When living lakeside a few years ago, they became a bit of a problem and there was a state law protecting them.....
What a nice poem and now pictures to go with it! Very nice!
