If dollhouses and miniatures are among your interests, today's post just might make your heart beat a little faster.
A friend, Violet, has been working on her dollhouse for a couple of decades.
Actually, I consider it a dollhouse mansion.
Violet graciously offered to let me share her exquisite dollhouse with readers of Writing Straight from the Heart.
Can you imagine what a thrill that was?
It's best to show her dollhouse mansion in sections since I want you to see lots of photos and details of this work of art.
By the way, Violet is also an extremely talented "on canvas" artist, too. The details of her paintings defy description.
She made many of the things seen in her dollhouse, including this ham itsy bitsy cloves and pineapple slices with cherry centers!
Today we are focusing on the kitchen in Violet's dollhouse.
She loved her late grandmother and said the kitchen is an exact replica of her Gram's.
Violet remembers spending lots of time there, as a child.
There's even a doll in a rocking chair that resembles her late Grandmother!
Hope, so much, you enjoy this post and others that will be coming up on Violet's dollhouse!
p.s. If you liked today's post, stop by on Friday to see the rest of Violet's beautiful dollhouse!
WHAT DID YOU MOST ENJOY SEEING IN TODAY'S PHOTOS?

That dollhouse is absolutely fabulous! What I enjoyed seeing most, besides all the detail, is that wonderful 'old' kitchen farmhouse sink! It's perfect.
Oh I loved all the shots of the mansion dollhouse..especially that tiny silverware and the rocking chair with "Grandma" in it.
Amazingly perfect work! Id not have the patience.
This was like stepping back into my own grandma's kitchen. How fun it must be to collect these miniatures.
Wow! What attention to detail. Must be a labor of love. How fun for Violet to recreate her beloved Grandmother's kitchen, right down to Grandma's apron hanging on the chair.
I loved the feelings of warmth, love and abundance that come through in this fabulous dollhouse.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful "mansion" dollhouse.
Wonderful work! That ham, complete with embellishments! Amazing!
By the way, although comment verification appears on your blog now, I am able to click on publish without worrying about entering those numbers.:-)
Oh wow, isn't that amazing. How lovely, thanks for sharing that with us!
Happy Wednesday!

Hello from Spain: I love your dollhouse. I really like your rooms. Fabulous thumbnails and furniture. Great photos. Keep in touch
What a labor of love ! Its a wonder how one would have such patience dealing with such teeny things!!!!
Hi Susan: Your friends doll house is amazing. I love the Grandma look a like. Hope you are doing well dear friend. Sending hugs your way. Martha
I just love that and yes she is good at what she does. I love the silver wear set in her hand - so tiny! Can you believe how tiny those things are yet they look real!!!
My one and only experience with doll houses was to recreat Sherlock Holmes's sitting room at 221B Baker Street. I had working electricity and a fireplace that lit up and crackled. So, I have a great appreciation for miniatures. This is an incredible piece of work here. Every little detail is just perfect. Naturally, I love the kitchen, the drawer of flatware, and that delicious looking ham. What fun it must have been working on this. Thanks for sharing.
That black and white flooring is something else! The kitchen is so cute. Hello Grandma. :~)
