"Practice hope. As hopefulness becomes a habit, you can
achieve a permanently happy spirit."
by Norman Vincent Peale
Today's post is short and sweet.
The quote is from one of my all time favorite authors, Norman Vincent Peale.
Oh gosh, how many times have I read his book, "The Power of Positive Thinking?" (And will keep reading it, all through life!)
His writing is always inspiring, motivational and uplifting. It is this great man's legacy to the world.
The bunnies in the photo have been around for many years and are among my favorite Easter decorations!
They are just so darned cute that when I see them, they never fail to make me smile and lift up my spirit.
WHAT IS ONE THING TODAY THAT GIVES YOU HOPE?

Hello from Spain: I like positive thinking. We have to believe in a better future. We have to have hope. Things can change. Keep in touch
I have read that book many, many times. He was a great man.
And it is true - it becomes a habit.
I love your new Easter Header. You did a great job...
Hope by Father James Keller
Hope looks for the good in people instead of the worst.
Hope opens doors where despair closes them
Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God and the basic goodness of human nature
Hope "lights a candle" instead of "cursing the darness"
Hope regards problems, small or large, as opportunities
Hope pushes ahead when it would be easy to quit
Hope is a good loser because it has the divine assurance of final victory.
I love that prayer!
Love the comment from Father James Keller.
One thing that gives me hope today Susan is that bright ball of fire in the sky. It's so warm and beautiful today, I feel like the spring is just around the corner. :)
As to positive thinking, yes that is a great thing. I've never read the "Power of positive thinking" but I read the "Secret". Very inspiring. Every once in a while I reach for it and read some parts.
I love bunnies very much too.. I have some that I have had for a long while .. Happy Wednesday with love Janice
Hope is what is getting me through my battle with breast cancer. I see it in my daughter's eyes, and I feel it when I think of my grandbabies, who I want to watch grow up. I know what hope is when my doctor's say, "You are doing great. You look good!" I believe I have hope while I am praying and when others tell me they are praying for me. I hope do it, as a verb) when I claim and cling to His promises, like, "I will heal all your diseases."
"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24.
I think what brings me hope today is dreaming while I'm awake of being well again, enjoying and savoring the everyday and it's ordinary things that are really the big things. Hope is what makes you believe, have faith, and never give up.
Ah, those bunnies are so cute! When I read your question two Bible verses immediately came to mind... 1 Peter 3:15: But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
and
Psalm 62:5: Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
That is what gives me hope even in the hardest times :)
HOPE.....isn't it a wonderful word, Susan? What a lovely post today, and your bunnies are sweet. :~)
