Citrus Treat

Most of the time, when a little toddler guest is served oranges, up goes the little nose with a shake of the head.

"No fanks."

With a little bit of tweaking, however, the orange slices get gobbled up.

All I do is mix a tad of sugar with a light sprinkle of cinnamon and spread the mixture on top of the orange slices.

All gone.

Wishing each of you a lovely weekend.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FRUIT?

  1. I guess a spoonful of sugar does make the "medicine" go down! I used to do the same thing with apples slices for my younger son. He's 33 now and still likes apples slices with cinnamon and sugar.

I guess my favorite fruit would have to be watermelon; so sweet and juicy and delicious.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Apples... I love apples the best in any way, shape, or form. I eat grapefruit next without anything on it. Love that too!

  6. That's a good question. I've never thought about what my favourite fruit is. In the summer it's got to be strawberries when they are in the season.. sweet and juicy sprinkled with a tad of sugar. Apples too.. and bananas... those I gobble up all year round. Oh... and the watermelon in the summer... lol So many wonderful kinds of fruit!

  7. Gosh a little fruit and cinnamon on an orange seems perfect. I guess my favorite is a banana.

  9. Fresh, juicy peaches from the tree, my favorite! Doesn't take much to entice a little one.

  10. Found one good cantalope in a two bins at Walmart...added apple, banana, raspherries, strawberries, kiwi, grapes and a dollop of yogurt dressing. Wow, I pretended it was sunny day even though cold and damp and dark here--still!
