Most of the time, when a little toddler guest is served oranges, up goes the little nose with a shake of the head.
"No fanks."
With a little bit of tweaking, however, the orange slices get gobbled up.
All I do is mix a tad of sugar with a light sprinkle of cinnamon and spread the mixture on top of the orange slices.
All gone.
Wishing each of you a lovely weekend.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FRUIT?
I guess a spoonful of sugar does make the "medicine" go down! I used to do the same thing with apples slices for my younger son. He's 33 now and still likes apples slices with cinnamon and sugar.
ReplyDeleteI guess my favorite fruit would have to be watermelon; so sweet and juicy and delicious.
Have a great weekend!
I love strawberries! Tiger loves blueberries and I try to have some for him when he visits!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Apples... I love apples the best in any way, shape, or form. I eat grapefruit next without anything on it. Love that too!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, sound great! Aren't kids funny?
ReplyDeleteI just love tangerines! My kind of "candy". :) Have a great weekend! Kit
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question. I've never thought about what my favourite fruit is. In the summer it's got to be strawberries when they are in the season.. sweet and juicy sprinkled with a tad of sugar. Apples too.. and bananas... those I gobble up all year round. Oh... and the watermelon in the summer... lol So many wonderful kinds of fruit!
ReplyDeleteGosh a little fruit and cinnamon on an orange seems perfect. I guess my favorite is a banana.
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: I really like strawberries. Every morning breakfast a glass of orange juice. It has many vitamins. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteFresh, juicy peaches from the tree, my favorite! Doesn't take much to entice a little one.
ReplyDeleteFound one good cantalope in a two bins at Walmart...added apple, banana, raspherries, strawberries, kiwi, grapes and a dollop of yogurt dressing. Wow, I pretended it was sunny day even though cold and damp and dark here--still!
ReplyDeleteCute.... I will have to give it a try. Happy Sunday with love Janice
