The tag noted that the plant would attract butterflies so I immediately bought it.
It hung from a wrought iron post all summer long.
Bird feeders were nearby.
Very, very few butterflies came to the bright, cheery blossoms of the plant.
But I have to tell you, it was the most generous plant our yard has ever seen.
Throughout the entire summer there have been lovely blooms.
Even if the butterflies didn't enjoy this flowering beauty, we sure did!
DO YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THIS PLANT?

Beautiful plant but I don't know the name.
I don't have a butterfly plant but yesterday I saw at least six gorgeous yellow butterflies all around my yard. Something must attract them but I do not know what. Anyway they are lovely as is your plant.

Beautiful plant; name unknown here. We've had no luck with encouraging butterflies to come to our yard.
What a beautiful plant. I don't know the name either.
I don't know the name of this flowering plant, but it sure is pretty, Susan. I love the color too.
Happy Wednesday to you,
love, ~Sheri
Your plant is called a Mandevilla plant.
You can find information here about wintering over your plant so it will be just as pretty next year.
