Every Second Counts
It is always a privilege to experience autumn in New England.
I have lived in many places, including two countries outside of the USA, and still, no season or place are as splendorous as fall in New England.
The tree shown in this post is something I see all the time and it still takes my breath away.
When the deep disappointments of life hit us, and they definitely will, if we are human, the best thing to do is get outside in nature.
Breathe deeply, even if the heart is breaking, and look up at the sky, the clouds and the tree tops.
Somehow, Mother Nature soothes the sad and weary spirit, much like a mother soothes her child.
This life is very transitory and it goes by in a wink.
If there is anything you can do to make another person happy, do it, for you may not have the chance again.
No one knows when one's time on earth is up.
Today, wherever you are, look around you and find the beauty.
Then, cherish it.
WHAT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL THING YOU HAVE SEEN SO FAR TODAY?

Your tree caught my eye! It is gorgeous! I miss that color here so much! Since learning to take photos, I have also learned to appreciate the light and the way it reflects during the day. That has been the best gift of all of learning to take pictures.
I have to tell you Susan - that is the one color of fall we do not have a lot of. It is my favorite too. I remember it from Chicago. I don't know if it is because of the weather or the specific tree. But that color is gorgeous! Beauty and deep breathing do help in times of stress.
I've never experienced fall in New England, but I'm sure it's stunning. Fall colors is why I vacation in the fall, and next week me and my twin sister will head toward the Smoky Mountains. You're so right about nature lifting our loads. I have a heavy heart at the present time, but I am sure that being so close to God's handiwork will refresh me - body and soul.
Today I drove through the beautiful Autumn landscape of New England. The hour's ride to my son's house went by in a flash; a flash of red, yellow, orange and rust. At journey's end I saw my son and granddaughter waiting for me on the steps of their little farmhouse. How blessed I am....
Beautiful pictures Susan.. What is one beautiful thing I saw today? I have the answer....a two hour and fifteen minute video of Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute" by the metropolitan opera company..just magnificent!
Hi Susan, I love Autumn with all it's lovely reds and golds and deciduous trees are my favourites because of the beautiful changes they bring to the garden.
I've seen a number of beautiful things today...can't choose between pink roses from hubby or the blue wrens in the wisteria!

This is a special post, Susan, with heartfelt words.
