The Slinky Sliding of Slithery Ssssssnakes!

Try saying the title of this post as fast as possible five times .

It's definitely a tongue twister.

The little slithery creatures, made from plastic, came from a big box store.

See, a little five year old boy recently had a birthday.

I was going to see him at another boy's birthday bash and wanted
to bring a belated gift.

But, what?

Since I had already purchased a paperback book on snakes, it made
sense to give it with a few of the "slinkers."

So I placed all the different colored "snakies" in a see-through
Halloween bucket that had black spider webs printed all over it. Perfect!

The snake book, another book about how hard it is to become five years old, and a dollar for each year of his life so far, were also part of the gift.

A cheer leading team held a bake sale in front of the big box store so even though large chocolate chip cookies cost a whopping two bucks each, I still bought one for each of the birthday boys.

Figured the money went for a good cause and I wouldn't have to use my extremely limited weekend time to bake my own.

A little creativity resulted in a rather sssssssplendid birthday gift!

DO SNAKES GIVE YOU THE CREEPS?

I'm not a fan of any kind of snake...real or plastic. BUT my grandsons love the stuffed snakes I got them at Disneywalk last year. They sleep with them..ha ha ha. I'm sure the birthday boy will love his gift.

A splendid gift indeed! I think this is a great idea. You almost can't go wrong with a gift like this for a boy. I am sure it was a hit. Have a great week!

As long as they aren't alive, I can deal with them. Cute idea for a gift. xo Laura

Grandson has had snakes - in a cage - in the house! Yikes! Never figured our daughter for agreeing to that!:-) We've even spent the night on the hide-abed in the same room the cage was kept! Lifespan hasn't proved to be very long for them, and there are none at this point. Whew!

What a wonderful gift! I love snakes and think they are lucky. I have wooden ones on the wall of my living room, painted in realistic colors. :) Kit
