Post Christmas Thoughts....

It was such a blessed and beautiful Christmas.

Christmas Day is over but the season continues for several more precious days.

Outside the house, it's cold and dreary.  Ice and freezing temps are forecast.

Parties are now memories, gifts have been opened, delicious food and drinks consumed and guests have gone home.

It's quiet and peaceful in the living room, lit only by the white and pink lights of the Christmas tree and white lights along the fireplace mantel.

Gratitude fills my heart to the brim.

Today, at this moment, all is well.

HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW THAT CHRISTMAS IS OVER?

That is a gorgeous tree. We are having quiet days here with boys in and out as they spend time with friends. Both are happy it's not cold. And they don't have to deal with snow. Crazy thing is that it's been totally overcast ever since they arrived. Waiting for blue skies to return. Best wishes to you and yours.

Frankly, glad it's over! It's been a terrible 2016 and I'm hoping things get better, but skeptical! Happy New Year to you, my friend, XOXO

I had a wonderful Christmas and now I'm basking in the sunshine, going back to my aqua classes in the mornings at the pool and loving every minute of my time. Have a restful week as you deserve it after all that entertaining.

Your mantel is gorgeous. Love that cranberry glass. Perfect for Xmas and the New Year.

I think that whatever it is outside - it is the people inside that make Christmas. And with all the lights on - it makes it warm and beautiful.

Hi Susan -

Your tree is gorgeous!

We also had a lovely Christmas. Our Christmas Eve service set the tone for the weekend. It was quiet, but so meaningful.

Happy New Year,
Susan :)

Beautiful pictures of your Christmas decorations, Susan! I, too, am reveling in the peace, the quiet and a few very simple meals. I feel so much more centered in the days after Christmas than all winter long, as if I survived a 10K!!! lol!

Sending good thoughts and best wishes for a Happy New Year!
