Remembrance of the Blessed Mother....

Throughout this Christmas season, we think about the Baby Jesus and His humble birth.

But His mother, like mothers everywhere,  is also strategically important.

Without her willingness and love, there wouldn't have been the birth of a baby king!

Of course, she is represented in several manger scenes we have around here.

One of my favorite reminders of Mary, and the Infant, Jesus, however, was a gift from a dear friend, Jana, a couple years ago.

It's a fragile, glass ornament with a beautiful rendition of Mary on it.

I found the perfect brass holder for it and during Christmas, it's placed on the front hall table----the perfect spot for the Mother of the Baby Jesus.

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, AMAZES YOU MOST ABOUT THE BLESSED MOTHER?

The Mother and Jesus ornament is beautiful, Susan. I can see why it is placed on your front table, a perfect place for you and others to look at every day.

Merry Christmas, dear friend.

Lovely piece! I have a wooden triptych of Madonna that is usually out for Christmas. Not this year as I can't dig for it. But I do have lovely Christmas cactus that reminds me of a holy season!

Mom and Grandmother loved to pray to the blessed Mother and I do the same. Never miss a day without saying my rosary and praying for her intersession with the Lord. I love your ornament and what a good idea to display it that way. Happy weekend.

I think that for such a young girl herself she had amazing courage and trust. She said yes - to something that she could have been ridiculed for - and never worried about herself - she TRUSTED and had FAITH and so did Joseph.
