Who cannot love pink and red hearts, angels, and flowers?
Making one's home lovely and welcoming all the time, but especially during the month of love, brings happiness to a new level.
Our front hall table has undergone a lot of changes.
The beautiful amber colored hurricane lamps, with the frilly glass edges, that came downstairs in the fall, have been brought back to a bedroom upstairs.
They have been replaced with double cranberry glass lamps with deep pink shades.
The lamps, themselves, are very old and quite beautiful.
A pretty straw angel that belonged to my late Mother is also there on the table, along with pink candles that were one of my most treasured Christmas gifts.
A darling gold-toned angel is there, too. She never made it back upstairs after the holidays.
Think I'll keep her around for awhile.
Of course, there are lots of hearts, too, and a collection of Valentine cards.
So, the welcome to all who enter our home, is all set.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SAY 'WELCOME' IN YOUR OWN HOME OR APARTMENT?

Your lamps are lovely. The shades are very pretty. And the straw angel sweet. All perfect to bring Valentines Day into your home.
Beautiful decorations for valentine's day. I do not decorate here but sure do like looking at your stuff.
I do love your pink lamps and shades. I have to be honest - I don't decorate - I used to when Andy was younger tho.

Cranberry lamps and pink candles, lovely Valentine display. I forgot that day was so close already. Happy New Year AND St. Valentine's day to you !
I've always loved Valentine's Day and to me it's not just a day for lovers, but for friendships as well. :) It's such a precious little holiday. I love all of your decorations - very pretty and welcoming. I live in a very tiny house without a true entry (the front door basically enters into the dining room area, but our hutch which sits adjacent to the front door is the welcoming spot and I have everything decorated for Valentine's Day (since January 14th, since I like to have decor up for a month and then down immediately the day after Valentine's Day).
By the way, I'm not a new follower, have been reading your blog for a while and I used to blog extensively, but I quit several years ago and now I just enjoy reading/following a few blogs. I'm Linda in Illinois. :)
Susan, you have such delightful treasures.
You always decorate so appropriately for the occasion! Love the Valentine's and if I didn't have 3 mischievous cats, I'll display some things too. Guess I'll just have to bake! XOXO
Your cranberry lamps are so pretty, Susan. I am wondering if that is milk glass? They really stand out sitting under that gorgeous mirror. What a treasured little straw angel that belonged to your mother. I just love old things that are passed along to us from loved ones.
Your home looks charming, Susan.
love, ~Sheri
