Cold winds, sleet and snow may be pelting the windows from the outside.
However, inside the house, it's warm and cozy, especially in the kitchen.
Weather conditions can be similar to our lives.
No matter how chaotic things around us are, or how unpleasant the news may be, or what is happening on the outside, we can remain calm and peaceful within.
The way we do that is by focusing on the Lord and the peace He give us.
He said it best when He told us, "My peace is not of this world."
So let the storms of life swirl around us.
They cannot take away the true peace within.
DO YOU SOMETIMES HAVE DIFFICULTY FINDING PEACE WITHIN? WHEN THAT HAPPENS, WHAT DO YOU DO?

I do have times finding it difficult to feel peace inside. Meditation is something that helps me. I also try and get busy thinking about other things. Enjoy your cozy home. xo Laura
I too have some problems with inside peace - I go to God in prayer. I hope you have a good day - love your photo! Not the one that looks so cold tho! Stay warm. Sandie
Ah, yes I do. Sun helps. Today while you shudder we have sunshine in high 70s. Unbelievable for sure. Few nights ago it was 25...temps bounce like a rubber ball around here!
I agree with your post and my answers are far too complex to address here but yes, it's God who helps me find peace when I can find none. I'm surprised by your weather as I thought everyone was now having springtime weather again. Here, I have the window opened, the birds are singing, the grass is growing and will need mowing by next week, and springtime temps have happily returned. I'm hoping for a slow gradual spring with temps in the 50s and 60s rather than a big jump to hot weather too early.
Oh my Susan, your winter weather just doesn't want to give up. It was so pretty here in Oregon, but it's supposed to be back to rain all week. It's been so wet here..sigh.
Yes, it is so good to know that God is in control always and what a comfort and peace I have in knowing that.
Happy Sunday.
Take deep breaths and concentrate on the blessings of life which are many and all too soon are forgotten when something serious happens to take away our joy. God is in charge...isn't that what you always say?
Hello!
These are very wise words. You are talking about an important matter in life. Regards :)
Love your photos. Weather is such a fickle beast. My niece who lives in Granby, MA, has posted photos on Instagram about the snow.
Last week it was in the 20s in Missouri, and today it's supposed to reach 80!
As far as what I do to find peace, I pray or read books with prayers or listen to classical music.
This is a gentle reminder, Susan, and I always appreciate your Sunday posts. What a pretty picture of your blue glass bottles facing the cold wintery weather outside. Your pictures are often so interesting to me.
Happy first day of Spring!
love, ~Sheri
Your cobalt blue in the window is a warming invite to come in from the cold and get comfy cozy and warm.
