Easter Egg Bush

Every year, a bush in our front yard gets transformed into a festive reminder of the Easter season.

Dozens of brightly colored plastic eggs festoon its branches.

Attached with wires, they stay on the bush quite well, some years through snow and rain!

The bush brings lots of smiles, especially among the little folk.

Even total strangers driving by, often slow down, take a look, and smile.

The Easter egg bush is a reminder of an exuberant and happy season.

Both season and bush deserve to be  celebrated with gusto.

DO YOU CELEBRATE EASTER?

I can imagine the grand babies' faces when they first see this bush.

Oh I remember that bush from Arizona days. You've had those eggs for quite a long time. I'm sure all who see it are inspired by it. Yes I do celebrate Easter..having my son and family here for dinner and singing with the choir...We are doing the Hallelujah chorus this year from Handel's Messiah and I hope I can get my voice back for it....

I remember your Easter egg bush from last year, it's delightful. It must make the neighbors stop and look for awhile. Yes, indeed, I celebrate Easter! It's a glorious day!

Susan, where does this tradition cone from? I had never seen such a thing until a few years ago when a neighbor did it.

I have to admit, the Easter bunny creeps me out. ;-) Don 't get me wrong, I still eat all the candy. It's just that the bunny and eggs don't seem to fit well with Easter's real meaning.
