Dolls have always been fascinating to me.
Matryoshka, or nesting dolls, hold a special place in my heart as well as in my doll collection!
They are quite fascinating.
They have tops and bottoms that fit together perfectly.
I thought matryoshka dolls came exclusively from Russia but another doll-lover said they originated eons ago in China.
Today, they are made in many different countries.
The dolls in my collection are Russian, I am quite sure. They are almost all bright, colorful, and pretty.
Oh they are so pretty! I used to give my oldest daughter some of these. :) Kit

ReplyDeleteYou have quite a collection of nesting dolls, Susan. I've been wanting to get one for myself, but haven't found the right one yet. That little blue one is so cute. Dolls are fascinating to me too, Susan, especially cloth dolls. I'm glad we have that in common. : )
