(All flowers in this blog post were seen in a large Market 32 supermarket in Western Massachusetts.)
Whenever the doldrums threaten to squish happiness, one must take swift action.Get into a car and drive to a supermarket.
Go to the floral department.
Revel in the exquisite beauty of the flowers, gifts from the Creator of the Universe.
Sometimes, just looking at the huge display of bouquets brings a smile to the face.
One does not even have to spend one cent because even just seeing them, perhaps sniffing their sweet fragrance, results in a happier spirit.
ARE BUYING FLOWERS IN A SUPERMARKET WORTH THE EXPENDITURE?

Flowers, no matter where they are purchased or picked from, brings a big smile to my face. These are beautiful. Sometimes, I will buy a bundle of flowers at the store just because. They can sure brighten a persons day.
I love this line of yours: "Whenever the doldrums threaten to squish happiness, one must take swift action." Oh yes, I agree, and I love that your first go-to is reaching out for the bright bouquets from the flower shops. I feel the smile on my face.
I buy flowers at the grocery store all the time. I have a bouquet of sunflowers at present. I can get a dozen roses for $12 and the colours are so beautiful - pink, red, yellow, rust, orange, mauve, white - it’s hard to choose sometimes. They last almost two weeks. Have a great weekend.
