Leaving the Dollar Tree the other day, all purchases complete, my eyes were immediately drawn to a vase full of sizzling, colorful flowers.
They stood on a shelf near the front door.
It included a variety of really lovely blooms.
How nice they'd look in my apartment!
There is already a lot of pink in the decor and these flowers would fit right in.
Out in the car, before I started the engine, the bouquet of flowers, kept flooding my mind.
Why couldn't there be a beautiful bouquet of all different kinds of flowers in the stuffed apartment? Why not?It's not like I was putting more than a hundred bucks down for a bouquet of real flowers, like some people do, all the time.
This bouquet came to a mere $7.
The car door opened and I went back into the store and purchased the flowers.
Ever since, the fake but beautiful blooms have brought me great joy.
Sometimes the littlest gestures can make the biggest difference in our lives!

ReplyDeleteI just bought a real bouquet of flowers from Trader Joe's and put them on my dining room table as I have guests here this week. They are colorful and perky.. Enjoy your fake ones too as they are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteNice looking bouquet, you can't beat the Dollar Tree for great deals. I spend most of the year overseas and when I return to the States one of the first places I go is the Dollar Tree. There is nothing like it in the Gulf, I always find gourmet chocolates, snacks, spices, flower seeds and even some dishes from Italy...all affordable.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty, and they match your table cloth perfectly. I love browsing through the silk flowers are Dollar General. They have a nice selection at times. I'm glad you went back in the store and brought these flowers home with you, Susan, because they bring you joy.
