Three-Sided Mirror

Several years ago, while driving through Bennington,Vermont, a stop at a Goodwill Store turned up something that really attracted attention.

It was a three-way mirror, very heavy, and probably old.

For $15, it was impossible to pass-up.

After several moves the past five (difficult) years, the unique mirror made the cut from dozens upon dozens of items let go due to downsizing.

For the past year, it has been sitting, all closed up, against a bedroom wall.

"Why not put that bad boy back into circulation?" the mind asked.

There has been no piece of furniture with enough space to accommodate it. That's why it hasn't been used.

Enough excuses.  This week I carried the heavy three-way mirror to the living room and set it up on a small table.

If another wider table is ever found, the table the mirror is on will be let go.

The mirror is soooo pretty with a candle and a round ornate vase with pink roses in front of it.

Do not, repeat, do not let items you love get lost in the shuffle of life.

Dig them out from storage, display them, and then sit down and love them with all your heart!

  1. Ah this is such a lovely way to decorate...my kind of decorating...mirror that shows off double the candle and flowers. Glad you shared Susan. Hope you are having a good day. Hugs!

  3. That's a nice and unique find, in light of the good condition I would bet it's worth a lot more than $15. Ever watch the History Channel's "Pawn Stars"? The show is a gold mine of stuff like this. One guy came in with an old book in good condition he paid something like ten dollars for. Their book expert appraised it at $2500...Rick the owner is like an encyclopedia of historical facts and trivia.

  5. Lovely mirror. Looks like a vanity mirror. You don’t see those around anymore. The display you put together is nice.

  6. That's a pretty three-way mirror. I'm glad you put it out once again to admire and appreciate it. The soft pink roses really add a special touch. I like the table you set the mirror on too - it looks like cherry wood, which is what my vanity is. Sometimes we just need to give our old pieces a little love, and they come alive for us. : )
