We have one more painting for the Christmas gallery!
It's a precious oval-shaped painting of a tea house.
There are so many wonderful details in this lovely piece of art.
My favorite part is a nearby birdfeeder surrounded by red cardinals.
There's a sleigh on on the porch and candles in the windows.
The tea house is called the Copper Kettle, Tea and Pastry.
It was less than three bucks, in a thrift store, and it's an original painting.
The person who painted this did a great job.
By the way, the Christmas gallery is on the bathroom wall.
It's coming along quite nicely and needs just a couple more additions.

Isn't that pretty, Susan. And the oval shape makes it so unique. What a charming scene, and I'm glad you showed close-ups of the red cardinals and the sleigh on the porch. What a cute tea house. Jess gave me a copper kettle one time, and although it's tarnished, I can't seem to part with it. Can't wait to see your gallery of paintings on the wall.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving week, Susan.

Oh I bet your gallery in the bathroom will be very festive Susan. Love the latest painting. i know you love decorating for Christmas. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm always attracted to oval shaped paintings. You don't see them that often. A lot of artistic talent went into that painting. Charming.
ReplyDeleteNice piece. Have you ever thought of going into the consignment business? You seemed to have an eye for antiques, second hand, collectables items. Consignment is trendy and popular now, especially with so much new stuff mass produced generic pablum. Opening a shop is an option however with inflation and red tape, not as easy as say 20 years ago.
ReplyDeleteThis oval piece is so beautiful...I would have purchased this in a instant... So charming, so peaceful and really speaks to the heart. You find and have the cutest most meaningful items
ReplyDeleteHi. I'm Ivy and I'm new here. I love the little birdie on the plate too. It's been awhile since I've had Christmas plates. I do have Christmas mugs. Drinking out of a Snoopy one as I type. Fun time of year. Cheers, Ivy.
