Maintaining interest in special hobbies is one way of bringing joy to your heart, one day at a time.
As the years tick by, often at a fast pace, some people let their hobbies go by the wayside and that is a big mistake.
One of my own life-long hobbies has been collecting dolls, dollhouses, and miniatures of all kinds.
She happens to be a doll cherished from childhood days.
While the whereabouts of the original doll is unknown, my daughter found an exact replica of her online.
She bought the doll and gifted her to me several Christmases ago.
Michele, (that's what my Tiny Tears goes by), received a gorgeous dark cranberry colored velvet dress with lace this past holiday.
Oh, she looked like the pizazz.
An ebay purchase, it turned out to be absolutely perfect.
However, it's now February and Michele needed a change of clothes.
Now, she's in a white dress with tiny roses all over it.
Because it's still very cold outside, she's wearing her red knitted hat.
It makes her look very sassy.
DO YOU HAVE A LIFE-LONG HOBBY YOU ENJOY? CAN YOU SHARE WHAT IT IS?

She is a cutie and her red hat is perfect for the season. I love quilts...I don't know how to quilt, but I do enjoy collecting them. Quilting is something I would to have learned and to have been able to pass down to my granddaughters.. Happy Wednesday Susan.
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute, Susan. And she's dressed for Valentine's Day with her darling red hat. I'm so glad your daughter found one just like the Tiny Tears doll you had as a child. You're right about people letting their hobbies go throughout the years. I used to do so many craft projects, but I still do love photography, especially taking pictures of nature. I've been wanting to get out there and do that, but it's been so cold. Enjoy your precious doll, Susan. She has a sweet face. You know how much I love dolls too, especially cloth dolls. ; )
ReplyDeleteI had a Tiny Tears doll like yours - oh how I loved her! How sweet she is and all dolled up in her pretty dress. I like to garden but I also enjoy writing as well as doing crafts, photography and hiking.
ReplyDeleteI played piano as a child and took singing lessons. My hobby is still with me today. Music makes us all better. I’m glad you have your Tiny Tears. I know you loved dolls all your life.
