It's really true that the more a person concentrates on being grateful, the happier they become.
We can be thankful even for the little things that bring smiles to our faces.
When a pretty crystal/glass cover called out at a yard sale, I bought it.
Probably, originally, it was a cover for cheese.
Available at a dirt cheap price, how could such a lovely piece be passed up?
So now, it's used as a cover for butter.
Flanked by the "new from eBay" salt and pepper shakers, the little set definitely makes me feel gratitude.
Here's to a great Friday the 13th, without any of the negative folklore behind it!

Susan You have always loved crystal. Your pictures of your new shakers and other crystal pieces are beautiful. Enjoy them. I'm grateful for each day I wake up and see the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of the pinwheel crystal I have that belonged to my mom. Young people don’t want such things anymore. I treasure it and the memories that go with it.
ReplyDeleteI like your crystal. I have a few crystal pieces that I like setting in my kitchen garden window for the morning sun to glisten through them. I usually do that in the spring.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty, Susan. My mom used to collect crystal - she had some lovely rose bowls. Yes, it's important to be thankful for those little things that bring smiles to our faces. And thank you for bringing a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteSusan...oh how beautiful these pieces are. I love crystal and the good thing about it is that Crystal never goes out. Always nice to have these pieces. Happy Valentines Day....
