Hurray, More Light Is On Its Way

Hurray, this coming weekend Daylight Saving Time begins in the United States and Canada.

Saturday night we will turn our clocks forward one hour.

Okay, so we'll lose an hour of sleep but we will also get more light every night!

It also brings us closer to spring which means fresh air, flowers, tossing the winter coats blissfully into closets, birdies and ice cream, and being free at last of scraping ice off car windshields.

Yippah!  Thank goodness for Daylight Saving Time.

  1. One of the great things about living here in Saskatchewan, is that we don’t mess with our clocks twice a year. After living on the west coast for most of my adult life, I came to rue the time changes that put my body and my dogs off balance until we adjusted. Now, B.C. has decided to stop this nonsense and remain on Daylight Saving time after this weekend. Everyone I know who lives there is cheering!

  2. Oh I wish we had daylight savings time all the time. Several states have decided to do that now. I love it being light in the evenings. I am glad we will change our clocks tomorrow night. I hope spring starts for you this week Susan.

  3. Yes, someone at the grocery store just reminded me of daylight savings time this weekend, and I sometimes forget! I love that clock in the glass dome, it's so pretty. And thanks for the reminder, Susan - I have it on my calendar!
