'Father Forgive Them, for They Know Not What They Do"

Good Friday is filled with sorrow and tears for Christians.

May the sacrifice of giving His life,  made by Jesus, for all of His earthly children, never be forgotten.

God loves us so much that he gave his only son, who can forgive the sins of all who love and follow Jesus, and who is preparing a place for us in heaven. This offer of a home in heaven is for those who follow Christ. What a gift!

I read Lectio divina and reflect on the essence of Jesus' sacrifice and the meaning of the resurrection.

Fasting and forgiveness is the theme for Good Friday. I remember being silent from twelve noon to three p.m. when I was a child. We do the stations of the cross and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins and everlasting life. A somber day indeed.
