Lacey Pieces Put to Good Use

Random pieces of lace, lacey curtains, and handmade doilies----all of these are put to good use around here.

There is just something quite wonderful about lace of all kinds.

The red table runner has been placed over a folded step stool in the bathroom, next to a small table with white lace underneath a red crocheted doily on top!

To hide the messy compilation of various sundries in the bathroom, apretty curtain has been hung on a tension rod.

A random piece of cut valence now lines the top shelf of a bookshelf that holds glass jars filled with everything from nuts and raisins to lentils and confectionary sugar.

Lace.  Gotta love it.

I don't think lacey things ever go out. That's a great idea to add a curtain in your bathroom to hide all the products. I like the covering that you have on your bookshelf with the jars of raisins and nuts, etc. That looks nice, Susan. My sister used to have all kinds of doilies, including lace ones. You really have many creative ideas when decorating your cute home, Susan. It's always a joy to get ideas from you. I love how you can see the goodies in those jars. ; )

I have a lot of lacy pieces of tablecloths, dresser scarfs, doilies, curtains etc that I'm not using at the time but still have them in my linen closet. I especially like the battenburg lace.
