Birdie Sweetness

On this rainy Indigenous Peoples' Day, one can look back on the journey of Native Americans.

Some of it is perilous to remember.

Blessings are wished on Native Americans everywhere throughout this country.

On this free day, however, it's fun to look back at the weekend and think of all the fun things done.

One of them was a Harvest Festival at a church in Western Massachusetts.

It is always a winning event.

The women of the church, St. John's, do a fabulous job of promoting an August mother lode yard sale.

In October comes the Harvest Festival.

Because things are being sold or given away in the apartment, most of the time at such sales is spent enjoying what is there but not buying too much.

Two precious little birdies did make it home, though.

They are as sweet as cupcakes.

Here's to a good day for you, too.

aahh, those little birds are sweet. Their colors of blue and amber are perfect for fall. You know, Susan, I have such an appreciation for the Native Americans that lived on this land. One of the tribes that lived here is the Wintu people. I also watch movies about the Native Americans, which I enjoy so much. I'm glad you brought those birdies home with you from the church yard sale. Have a lovely October week, Susan.

Oh we had an Octoberfest at our church this past weekend. It rained a little but all were under tents. Several different bands played. There were six different country food booths and a silent auction and bingo etc. It was so much fun.
Glad you got to go to a festival and glad you found something there too. Very cute.
