The Blessing Barn, in Mendon, Massachusetts, is a unique thrift store whose profits go to help agencies dealing with things such as homelessness, families in crisis, and so on.
Isn't that commendable?
Visitors get to look at hundreds upon hundreds of donated goods, many in pristine condition.
When something is bought, the money goes to help others. That sounds like a win/win situation.
There's even a bargain basement filled with more goodies!
Everything there is nicely arranged and glassware sparkles.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
These lovely ceramic figures are delightful to see.
What a joy to see a thrift store like this!
Hopefully, you'll enjoy some of these photos snapped during a recent visit to this mother lode of thrifties.

Oh my gosh, I would be in there all day! That's such a great thing to do - have a thrift store, and then donate the proceeds to help families in need. That tea set is gorgeous, and you know how much I love those ceramic figurines. You can't find them out there any more. There's a lot of cute ones. They look Victorian. Now, I'm wondering if you brought any goodies home with you. ; )
ReplyDeleteOh my what a place. Right up your alley. I bet you had a marvelous time looking at all those treasures !
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see a retail outlet donating to charity, I'm not much of a collector but I would make an exception with a purchase from this place. Meanwhile Elon Musk just donated $150 million to his charity, swinging the election in Texas. Fun fact, he also just threatened China on social media, bringing us closer to WW3.
