In Memoriam: SATURDAY, January 15, 2011




Today there will be no regular post on Writing Straight from the Heart.

Death knocked on our family's door and my beloved aunt departed from this earth.

She was one of my late mother's sisters and has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. So many memories of her will be treasured.

Today is her funeral, followed by a gathering of friends and family to have a meal and to honor my aunt's life. Then we will all be left to deal with sorrow in our own ways.

So, dear readers and Followers, until tomorrow.

Today, may I suggest that you cherish all those near and dear to you. Give hugs, give smiles, give loving words, and appreciate the loved ones in your lives. One day, they too, may no longer be here.

    Susan, I am sorry for your suffering. No words really help but still we try to say them. It is the only way we have to push our shoulder under the load on your back. I just heard yesterday that grief never goes away, but it does evolve to the bearable. Thinking of you....
