Simple Pleasure: Blue Skies

After enduring day after day of dark, dreary weather this past winter, seeing blue skies becomes a major simple pleasure.

One day recently, I grabbed my trusty little Kodak pixel digital camera and fairly flew out to the back porch.  It didn't matter that the air was still chilly.  The blue sky above had to be photographed. So there I stood, without a jacket, and snapped the most beautiful blue sky one could imagine.

One lone icicle hung from the porch roof.  I strained my ears to hear the sweet sound of a bird but none came to sing. They were all probably huddled together to keep warm. Or, if they're smart, they're probably still down south 'til the weather turns warm.

After taking pictures of the blue sky, I beat it back into the house to keep warm.

In any event, blue skies got my cheers this week. How about you?

ISN'T IT WONDERFUL TO FEEL GRATITUDE FOR SIMPLE PLEASURES?

  8. I say we are lucky and blessed to find pleasure in simple, daily things. In this world of technology and busy days of work, people often take the small things for granted, and at one point forget to even take a glance. The most wonderful feeling of happiness and gratitude is found in the simple things indeed. We should never forget that.
    Beautiful sky!!
    have a lovely day!
