Who hasn't heard the happy sound of:
"I scream
You scream
We all scream
For ice cream?"
It's one of life's decadent but delicious delicacies.
Announcement of a new location for an ice-cream shop is cause for elation and exploration.
When a place called "The Scoop" relocated within Lenox, Massachusetts, a small town in the western part of the state, it bore checking out.
Inside, lime green, blue, and white colors deck the walls. The floor is wood "look."
The clever door handle to the shop is in the shape of a good sized metal ice-cream cone.
On one wall, there is a row of candy containers.
The silver tables have optical illusion tops.
If a customer is not in the mood for ice cream, there are all kinds of baked goods available.
The Scoop makes a nice stop for a summer afternoon.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLAVOR OF ICE CREAM?
Butter Pecan because I rarely have it. Also, you made me think of the three ice cream trucks that used to come by when I was a kid. There was Whippy Dip (soft serve), Freezer Fresh and Good Humor. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI love "blue moon"(sometimes called "superman") ice cream. My grandkids love how it turns your mouth blue.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new ice cream place.

Oh, what a darling place! And lusciuos looking goodies of all kinds! Hmmmm, my favorite ice cream? That's not easy to answer! Have you ever heard of, or eaten, lemon ice cream?? And I don't mean sherbet, I mean ice cream! It was a flavor at the ice cream shop I went to in Iowa when I was a little girl. It almost looked like vanilla, except it was a very pale yellow. YUM! The few times I HAVE found some, it's never quite the same, but sure brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteChocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

We have simjilar stores here in St. Louis, but our localk hangout is Ted Drewes, named after the owner in his 80's who has been in business for years. It is alittle white single story building on a main street that has twenty lines, fifty deep on hot sumer evenings. It is a social event to spoend an evening therelingering outside with family and friends. A few benches, so most people stand around and schmooze.
