Joining Dayle's Simple Pleasures from A Collection of This and That.
Stargazer lilies are highly fragrant.
A friend who's a music teacher received a bouquet of flowers from her students and generously shared them with our family.
Among the flowers in the bouquet were carnations, daisies, and several beloved stargazers.
For many days now, our kitchen has smelled divine, thanks to the lilies.
Even the name is enchanting, isn't it? Stargazers.
They are among the most exquisite of simple pleasures.
ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH STARGAZER LILIES?
Oh, how I love them Susan ... but they don't like me, achoo!

I'm not familiar with these lilies but your photos are wonderful -- can almost smell them :-)
ReplyDeleteI was given two plants for my birthday. They are awesome. This year I put them in the back with all my other regular dayliles. I am excited to see how everything looks this year because I dug up the whole bed and replanted.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! And, how sweet that they thought to share with you.
