This sweet darling has an important message for the world.
Today, we are joining Diann at The Thrifty Groove for "Thrifty Things Friday." Also joining Cindy's Friday "Show and Tell" at My Romantic Home.
When it comes to art, it can certainly be displayed in any room of the house.
Kitchen windowsills in our house tend to be turned into elongated galleries for every possible variety of applealing, artistic items.
When I was a little girl, my Tiny Tears doll rarely left my arms. So, when I found this little sweetheart, she had to come home with me. After all, she brings me right back to my childhood. Here she is:
Nearby are these little houses, all different and none more than two-and-a-half inches tall.
This Valentine teddy is so cute she gets to hang out on the windowsill all year long.
This angel makes a nice piece, blowing on a flute-of-sorts:
Two love birds soak up the morning sun:
Upper sills, too, can display things like these cobalt blue bottles.
Also, angels, including one that fills the room with rainbows when the sun hits it!
DO YOU DISPLAY ART ON YOUR WINDOWSILLS?
Everything is lovely! Yes, I have some pieces on my windowsills! Have a wonderful weekend!

We don't really have windowsills. Just the windowframe that juts out a bit. Some don't even have that if they have flat windows -- our's slide which is why there is a bit of a groove. Love your cobalt blue bottles. I have a set of houses that I used to display but put away years ago. My husband was actually upset when I took them down. Who knew he much cared about that sort of thing. :) Hope your day is a good one. Tammy
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI finally can comment again. I feel as though someone ripped the duct tape off of my mouth. lol
Your pictures are charming as are your windowsills.
Here in phoenix, anything we put on a windowsill will bake, melt, or fade.
Lovely huh?
*hugs*

I don't decorate the windows, I don't think my windows sills are like that - but yours are beautiful and shows your 'heart'.
ReplyDeleteHow great that you have the extra space to create such fab displays! Love them all, but the houses are my fave!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!

I only have sun catchers on a couple of my windows. My favorite is a harp I bought when I went to Ireland. Can't put too much up as I live in earthquake country.
ReplyDeleteI have several items on my kitchen windowsill. Two 'kitchen angels' that have been with me for years and other changing items that catch my fancy. I have one window I have started putting red glass items in because the sun shining through them is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAll of your window displays are so sweet! Love those blue bottles. they just look gorgeous when the sun hits! Thank you for joining TTF and have a great day!
