Luckily for all, she shared her "secret." She substitutes olive for vegetable oil.
I've tested different boxed mixes and like Pillsbury the best. ( There is no affiliation with the company and no pay offs of any kind. I just like the taste and consistency of that brand the best.)
The day arrived when I tried the olive oil and walnuts and sure enough, they came out moist and chewy. They also made the house smell divine.
I quickly packed them into a plastic bag and laid them to rest in the freezer.
Otherwise, the pan they were in would look like this:
Sending this one to you, dear reader:
DO YOU LIKE BROWNIES?

Oh, dear!
I am pinning this to my Pinterest category called: PMSing. Really. That's what it's called.
YUMMMMMM. I would eat the whole pan.
Oh my! I do love brownies and these look terrific! Great idea to freeze them!
Hope you have a great weekend,
Kathy
Dearest Susan,
What a great idea to substitute olive oil for vegetable oil. So you followed the Pillsbury directions from the package for recipe?
LOVE those and freezing them is indeed a smart idea. Thanks for sharing this!
Have a great weekend and lots of love from,
Mariette
I know a certain SON of yours who'd devour these in a minute. Myself, I'm not into too many sweets. I read where you gain the MOST weight from potato chips..now that is my favorite food...and you can't freeze them for company either!
Where's the milk! I have had such a sweet tooth lately. Moist, yummy brownies are always a treat! Have a super Saturday. Tammy
I am salivating and must go to the bakery. Yours look divine.
I love brownies with nuts in them. I am now craving a brownie!!
I'm having trouble leaving comments - but what I said is I don't LIKE brownies I LOVE brownies!

I LOVE brownies...but of course, I love just about every sweet treat around! Except...I don't care for nuts of any kind!! So, I would most likely be able to stay away from yours, dear Susan!..Unless they're big enough to pick out! :o
Now you have done it! I have to have one! This is my favorite dessert...MY these look good!
