A dear friend of mine, Christine, decided against packing up her Christmas tree after the holiday last December.
Instead, she redecorated it with silk roses and baby's breath, always a winning combination. White lights peek out from among the branches.
It has a lovely Victorian look to it.
The slender tree stands in a small alcove in her home, between newly upholstered chairs. Nearby is a very pretty needlepoint footstool, too.
Because we still have snow in Massachusetts, even though spring is itching to arrive, the tree looks quite perfect. It's very, very attractive.
Christine graciously agreed to share her Victorian tree on this blog. Now isn't she just a little sweetie for doing that?
DO YOU EVER REDECORATE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE AND LEAVE IT UP DURING THE YEAR?
If I had a tree that beautiful I would never take it down!
ReplyDeleteNo I have to admit I never have. This is really pretty, but I think if I had one, I would constantly be thinking of Christmas...LOL Kit
ReplyDeleteThat really is pretty, but I couldn't do that, either...like Kit. I would always feel like it was Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe tree is so gorgeous!! me liking it so much! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, I love LOVE those chairs and footstool. I would love to read a book in that spot : )
ReplyDeleteThe tree is very pretty. I wouldn't leave my tree up all year though..I just put it up in the Christmas season. It's warm and hot in California and it just wouldn't seem right to have my tree up in that kind of a climate.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I gave you an award, do check it out!

Okay, you know what my answer is going to be!! LOL!! I just took down my 7 foot DR and LR trees that were decorated for Valentine's Day. I have a 6 foot slim up in my Craft Room that stays up all year. I will be decorating it with butterflies, birds, roses and tea cups for the Summer. I still have a 4 foot tree out in my Den that is currently decorated for St. Patrick's Day( will soon be doing a post on that) and I will be putting up a 5 foot potted tree in my LR that I will decorate for Easter and then turn into a Patriotic Tree for the Summer. And I have a 4 foot pink tree that will be making an appearance in my DR for Easter. So there are at least 2 trees up in my house all year....

Very pretty...why NOT be festive year 'round?
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteYour friend's tree is beautiful and if I had the space I would love to have a tree like that up all yeat round.
Many years ago, when my children were teenagers, I left a small decorated Christmas tree up all year near my front door.I told them it was to remind them that we should have a Christmas attitude all year round.
I love Christmas.
God Bless

That tree was beautiful and kind of looks like it should be up all year. Mine does not - it's huge and colorful. I wish I could though. It was a good idea. sandie
