It was so wonderful to read all of your comments!
You know, blog friends are the absolute BEST. I feel like we are a kind of big, extended family.
When things pipe down a bit, I'll be able to get back to everyone. In the meantime, I hope each of you has a terrific weekend!
The little angel's birth was the best birthday present I could ever have received! Yep, my birthday just happened to be the day after she was born!
Okay, well, here's a post about a cool place to visit!
Going to a farm market is fun any time of year but especially so in the fall.
Everything is colorful and abundant.
There's a place in Western Massachusetts called Whitney's Farm Market.
(If interested, you can check out their fine website here.)
We've had quite a few posts about it lately because it's such a fun place to go.
Don't you just love to see those basket hanging from the rafters?
Just for the record, I don't know a single soul at Whitney's and I don't get paid to write about the place. It's just one of my favorite spots to visit.
Inside there are delicious fresh baked goods including tender and flaky cider donuts. The creme cheese bear claws are delectable, too, (even if one can take only a bite of one.)
Of course you can always opt for crunchy apples instead of the sweet stuff.
This past visit, I noticed some very different jam combinations, made by a company in Vermont. Yum yum
I just loved my Mom's home made raspberry jam. Now I enjoy boysenberry from the supermarket. I have NEVER tried making it though.
ReplyDeleteOooh, everything looks so yummy! I don't really have a favorite jelly or jam. I like so many! And Susan, I'm sorry I missed your post about the new grandbaby...Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteStrawberry!
ReplyDeleteAnd Susan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! A new granddaughter is a most awesome of birthday gifts! Such exciting times!
Happy belated birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteCider donuts? Sounds good. It is special time of year...time for Harney Cranberry Orange tea too! Oh, and Happy Birthday with a new baby!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! How is it possible for me to choose a favorite? This looks like an amazing farm stand! It is easy to see why you like to stop there.
ReplyDeleteYes, that granddaughter was a wonderful birthday present! Our first child was actually born on MY birthday.
Have a good Friday!
You are still three feet off the ground aren't you?? It's the best feeling to be a Grandma! I am off to see Tiger this weekend! My favorite jam is strawberry forever! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Farmer's Markets and road side stands.
ReplyDeleteI know you had a great birthday present there. Still feel like your soaring?
Oh, what a lovely farm stand! Everything looks so inviting from the pumpkins to the baskets. They are wonderful places to pick up homemade jam or butter.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the birth of your little granddaughter, and a belated happy birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Anne
Congratulations once again on being a new grandma and a very Happy Birthday...lots of celebration time in your family this week. I do not have a favorite jam but that cinnamon pear sounds really good.
