Reflection

In the midst of the busyness ---- the baking and cooking, the decorating, the entertaining,  the merriment and social activities, the shopping and wrapping, and the endless, bottomless "to do" lists, I need to just S.T.O.P.

In those chaotic  moments of this lovely season, reflection is imperative.

As difficult as it may be, there is a crying  need to just sit, breathe deeply and think about who we are celebrating and why.

Admittedly, sometimes I lose track of the fact that the whole reason behind Christmas is the birth of the sweet and innocent Christ child who came to save the world.

He was the Prince of Peace yesterday, still is today and will be tomorrow.

For Christians, the little Lord Jesus is the reason for the season.

NOTE:

Dear blogger  friends and readers:
It's been a very busy weekend.
I just want you to know I'll stop by as soon as time permits.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your visits and
comments.
They mean a lot to me.
You add to the joy of this season and to each day of my life!
Hugs, Susan

  3. Susan, you couldn't have said it better. It has been a busy week(s) and I should get to posting more recipes soon and catching up with friends. Once my tree is up, I will take a photo of the creche my grandfather made for my grandmother--it's one of my most prized possessions, XOXO

  4. No hurry. No worries :) Peace, comfort and joy - these are the tidings that come with the entrance of the Prince of Peace into our world. Let's not just SAY it and SING it, but LIVE it!

  11. Hi Susan,

I like to start my shopping early, so I'm not so rushed in December. This gives me time to actually reflect on and enjoy what really matters.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)
