Thankful for Flowers
Today we are joining Linda's Gratitude Sunday #3 on her blog, A La Carte.
Be sure to stop by and see some of the entries and get a look at what others are grateful for!
Thanks for hosting, Linda.
Today and every day I am deeply grateful for flowers.
They come in such a huge variety of colors, scents and shapes.
They are able to lift the spirit with their intense beauty.
There are delicate-smelling spring iris, perky daisies, fragrant lilies of the valley, intoxicating gardenias and hyacinth, and on and on.
God gave us so many incredibly beautiful flowers for our enjoyment.
It would be impossible to say what my #1 favorite flower is because I have so many.
I do especially love pink roses, though.
Pink is my favorite color, for sure. Pink roses are just exquisite. They make me smile and feel very lucky to be alive!
How about you? Do you have a favorite flower?
Oh funny you should have flowers on your blog today. I just received a gorgeous display of ruby red roses...18 of them .for my birthday and they are splendid. I must say red roses are my favorite...love them!
ReplyDeleteI love roses in any color or variety, but lavender is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteI would have totally guessed this being true for YOU! You love flowers. sandie
ReplyDeleteI know how much you love flowers! You always have the prettiest bouquets. I think I love Gardenia's for their smell and roses for their delicate beauty and zinnias for their vibrant colors! Thanks for joining Gratitude Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
Flowers do speak to my heart too.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely! I think flowers are one of the nicest things God created for us. It is hard to pick a favorite. I adore lavender....but pink roses are delightful too.
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves daisies.
Your flowers are gorgeous, and I love the fragrance of lavendar wafting on the breeze.
ReplyDeleteI love roses and your candle ring is beautiful. I love hydrangeas, too! They have such big blooms in silk that look almost real! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: I love red roses and pink. I like the pictures of your post. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteDon't have a favorite, I think it's all good. :) Yours are lovely, enjoy them!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas poinsettias are flourishing...but I am longing for some spring buds and blooms!
ReplyDeleteHi again...I linked up with your friend Linda for the Gratitude Sundays. I think it's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda
Oh, my all-time favorite would have to be yellow roses!! I love that fresh, vibrant color, and it's hard to beat the fragrance of a rose. In fact, my favorite cologne, which is getting harder and harder to find, is called Tea Rose. Just a sweet, delicate, pure rose fragrance without any of that "perfume" smell! Ah, now I'm waiting for Spring, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnything that blooms and grows is alright with me! :) Have a beautiful day! Tammy

I did pick up some white roses because they were $2.49 and I've never had white roses before. Flowers are just exquisite.
Susan,
ReplyDeleteI am crazy about flowers. I do have many favorites-hydrangeas, daisies, tulips, roses and well the list is just too long!
Lovely post!
Have a wonderful week-
I could never pick a favorite. That is too hard..I love them all and can't wait for spring..I miss the flowers as we are dead in winter..maybe that's why I can't pick just one...LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan - thanks so much for the compliments on my painting. That particular piece is close to my heart, although I may try out some of my other pieces from time to time for a different look!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful!! I'm anxiously awaiting spring when our little garden will be alive with flowers! Isn't it wonderful that we can purchase bouquets for our homes during these dreadfully long and cold New England winter months?
Have a beautiful week!
Donna
I just adore white Daisys. So simple and they smell wonderful. And like Meg Ryan says in You Got Mail, they are a friendly flower. :) Kit
