Purple Portuguese Candleholders/Vases

Among my favorite thrift store finds are these beautiful light purple candle holders from Portugal.

They can also be used as vases.

When they were found escapes my memory but they've always been among my favorites.

Sometimes they hang out on a shelf in the pantry. Usually that's when purple glass is not being highlighted.

But whenever I bring them back into view, they make me smile.

I love their shapes and color.

Here's one shown near a lovely amethyst round vase!

They recently came down from the kitchen window shelves to make way for pink glass in honor of Valentine's Day.

Today we are joining Thifty Things Friday #96 on Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove.

Stop by her blog and check out all the fun things people bought for pennies.

DO YOU LIKE THE CRAFTS OF PORTUGAL?

  1. I love purple, Susan! Also, the shapes are very interesting.

The only thing I know about Portugal is the Viste Allegre (not sure of spelling) china. Christmas Magic is my pattern by that company in Portugal. Sad to say, the pattern has been discontinued.:-(
